Make a gift to the annual fund to have an impact on the lives of everyone around the globe. Gifts of all sizes help our scientists conduct climate research and work with a worldwide network of partners to combat climate change.

Annual giving supports our efforts to develop policies and find solutions that can be put into immediate action.

Giving Spotlight

Parents inspired by their children

Beth O’Connor and Jonathan Chatinover graciously made a leadership annual fund gift – their first to Woodwell Climate Research Center – after they were inspired by the voice of their children.

Beth and Jonathan live on Martha’s Vineyard and have two children: Keith and Claire. Keith is a Middlebury College student and Duke’s County Commissioner, and Claire is a middle school science teacher in Brooklyn. Both fiercely committed to finding solutions for climate change.

The family meets over the holidays to decide which organizations they feel it is important to support. This year, Keith brought Woodwell Climate Research Center to the table. He recognized the critical role Woodwell Climate had played in the passage of a climate crisis resolution by the Martha’s Vineyard Commission. The rest of the family was inspired to join in and support.

Thank you O’Connor and Chatinover family and welcome to the Woodwell Climate community.

You do great work for our community – both locally and globally. Beth O'Connor, Martha's Vineyard

Honor Others Through Giving

Celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and other special events with a gift of action that will provide a benefit to society – and not take up space on a shelf.

You can also make a gift in memory of someone who cared as much as you do about protecting the planet for future generations. It’s a meaningful way to honor the memory of a friend or loved one.

Woodwell Climate Research Center will send a special acknowledgment to the recipient of your choosing.
