Doug Hungarter is a Google.org Fellow working on the Permafrost Discovery Gateway project. He is a designer with over 20 years of experience in a wide range of industries. Most recently, he has been working to define the generative Duet AI experience in Google Cloud.

Prior to joining Google, Hungarter worked for Amazon for nearly a decade, leading the design of Amazon Video, X-Ray, Amazon Go, and Amazon One.

Outside of work, Hungarter spends most of his time reading, biking, writing, and playing music with his band The Given Takes. He lives in Seattle with his two sons and bulldog named Duke.
