I work with Hillary Sullivan and the Water team on a salt marsh restoration project in Waquoit Bay. The project assesses the impact of small streams on nitrogen cycling in the marsh.
I previously worked on the Camel’s Reef project at Connecticut College, which implemented an artificial reef along the Thames River in New London, CT, to restore the shoreline of the estuary. I greatly enjoyed the project and working in the nearby reference marsh, which prepared me for my current project at Woodwell Climate. I am interested in continuing a career in environmental research.
I am a rising senior at Connecticut College where I study biology. My love for the environment, and my desire to protect it, was sparked by visiting Cape Cod, where I frequented beaches and nature reserves. The opportunity to work at Woodwell Climate feels very full-circle, as I am working to protect a place and community I love. I continue to enjoy the outdoors, and in my free time you can find me hiking, skiing, or at the beach.
