Lisa Baumann is a Google.org Fellow working on the Permafrost Discovery Gateway project. She also works at Google on global competitive strategy, researching TikTok, Meta, and Amazon and informing leadership, product, and engineer teams about their competitive offerings.
Baumann is based in San Francisco with Bavarian roots and a strong affinity for Austria and South Africa where she lived for her studies. She has participated in fellowships through Google.org previously, including Giving Weeks. Before joining Google, Baumann worked at Airbnb in Ireland as a Social Media Manager.
Outside of work, Baumann has a strong passion for mountains and visits either with skis, on her mountain bike, or climbing and ski mountaineering.
