Matti Goldberg

Dr. Matti Goldberg connects Woodwell Climate’s research with global climate policy processes, nurturing a mutually supportive relationship between science and international policymaking.

Dr. Goldberg spent 15 years with the UN Climate Change secretariat, supporting global climate negotiations towards the Paris Agreement and other multilateral climate frameworks. He has extensive expertise in climate change adaptation and climate-security links, and researched science-policy linkages for his doctoral study. He holds a Master’s degree in international relations from the University of Munich.

Dr. Goldberg lives in Needham, MA with his wife, two children, dog Curly, and two cats. He loves playing music and reading books, and is getting back into running marathons.
