I analyze the nutrient and chemical content of water samples from Massachusetts’ Buzzards Bay. This analysis looks for signs of the human-driven pollution that is often tied to eutrophication events, or algal blooms, which deplete oxygen in the water.
I am passionate about ecological restoration, water quality testing, and environmental justice. Last summer, I volunteered with the California Department of Water Resources to analyze water samples for nitrogen, phosphorus, and ammonia. In the future, I hope to build a career in urban planning, development, and sustainable infrastructure. I am especially interested in where these fields intersect with water policy and conservation, particularly in California.
Outside of work, I love lifting weights, exercising at the gym, and going to raves in Los Angeles.
