Patrick Smith is a Google.org Fellow working on the Permafrost Discovery Gateway project. He is based in the NYC area and also leads the Specialist Team for Games at Google Cloud, developing solutions for Gaming customers based on Cloud and open source frameworks.
Smith has worked with machine learning throughout his entire career, having led machine learning Engineering and Research teams prior to working at Google. He has also taught and written on machine learning/artificial intelligence.
Outside of work, Smith enjoys hiking, sailing, and restoring old things.
