Yvonne Shi is a Google.org Fellow working on the Permafrost Discovery Gateway project. She is based in Los Angeles and has been at Google for 3 years. Shi is thrilled to be a Fellow with Woodwell Climate and to help raise climate awareness with data.
Shi grew up in China, but college and work have taken her all over the US and Canada. She finds joy in problem solving—whether it’s technical and analytical work projects, or creative upcycling for her sewing hobby.
Outside the tech realm, Shi stays active and adventurous, practicing kickboxing and fitness pole dancing.
