I am preparing a case study on the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF), a proposed initiative that supports forest protection and is projected to be launched at COP 30. My research focuses on the factors that would impact the TFFF’s implementation in Brazil and the DRC, as well as the indispensable role of Indigenous peoples and local communities in forest stewardship.

I have always been driven by a passion for nature and conservation. As I pursue a degree in Anthropology, I am combining this passion with my interest in human cultures, behaviors, and societies. I am fascinated by how these factors impact environmental and conservation efforts, and believe that an in-depth and nuanced understanding of them is crucial for creating equitable, effective, and context-specific environmental policies. While I am still exploring the exact direction of my career, I am interested in the social aspect of environmental research, particularly how policies and conservation efforts affect communities at a local level.

Growing up in a military family, I have lived in a range of countries, which has stimulated my interest in culture, societies, and human behaviors and interactions around the world. I have also been very lucky to have experienced the beauty and diversity of many of the world’s ecosystems and natural environments, which has further intensified my love for conservation. Outside of work, I enjoy sailing, hiking, traveling, and painting.
