I work with the Development team to advance our fundraising efforts, with a focus on engaging individual donors. Individual philanthropy plays a vital role in powering Woodwell Climate’s mission to transform cutting-edge climate research into meaningful action. One of the aspects I value most about my role is the opportunity to connect with new people and learn what inspires their interest in climate science and solutions.
I have more than a decade of experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, and environmental advocacy. Most recently, I served as a Major Gifts Officer at the Museum of Science in Boston, where I had previously been the Associate Director of Annual Giving. My focus was on building a major gifts program, cultivating donor relationships, managing annual giving campaigns, and driving strategic fundraising initiatives. Prior to my time at the Museum, I built holistic development programs for environmental nonprofits, including the Environmental League of Massachusetts.
My passion and commitment for protecting our planet goes back to when I was very young. My dad was a geologist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, and my mom was a psychologist. They brought an equal blend of natural and social science into our house every day. They also instilled in me a love for the outdoors. We spent weekends and vacations exploring—from hiking and biking, to sailing and swimming. I knew I wanted to work in climate science, helping people understand the science and inspiring them to be part of the solution.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy being outdoors, exploring new places with my partner and family, and reading a good book.
