Steve Bernier, pictured with his wife Constance Messmer, is the former longtime owner and operator of Cronig’s Market on Martha’s Vineyard.

As a proud donor to Woodwell Climate Research Center for more than two decades, I have seen the good work this organization does and the impact it is having in the fight against climate change.

But knowing the urgency of the mission, I know I need to step up and do everything I can right now. I don’t want to look back years from now and wish I had done more.

To accomplish this task, I reviewed my estate plan and moved some monies forward to help address the crisis we are facing.
