I support researchers at Woodwell Climate by securing and managing sponsored project funding and providing strategic guidance throughout the proposal development and submission process. I am deeply committed to advancing collaborative scientific efforts that enhance our understanding of climate change and contribute to meaningful, global impact.
Prior to joining Woodwell Climate, I spent over twenty years at the University of Wyoming (UW), where I served in a variety of roles, from Office Assistant to Executive Business Manager. For 15 years, I was based at the Wyoming Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit (Coop), a partnership among UW, the Wyoming Game & Fish Department, and the U.S. Geological Survey. There, I gained hands-on experience in research and project management, supporting statewide wildlife research conducted by faculty and graduate students.
One of the most rewarding aspects of that work was managing research projects from inception to completion and witnessing how scientific findings informed state policy. I was also invited into the field to observe elk and deer helicopter captures—an experience that gave me firsthand insight into field research and strengthened my effectiveness as a project manager.
Later, I transitioned to UW’s Central Pre-Award Office within the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development, where I discovered my passion for research administration. I found great fulfillment in assisting researchers with developing and submitting proposals, which inspired me to grow professionally and ultimately led me to my current role at Woodwell.
I hold a B.A. in Anthropology from UW and am a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) and Certified Pre-Award Research Administrator (CPRA). I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in research administration at the City University of New York.
Based in the mountains of Wyoming, I enjoy spending time outdoors—gardening, camping, and hiking with my family.
