I coordinate scientific, administrative, and logistical activities across multiple institutions, field sites, and research teams for the Evolving Meta-Ecosystems (EVOME) Institute.

Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), EVOME is a large, interdisciplinary research institute focused on studying stream and riparian ecosystems in the Alaskan Arctic in relation to climate change, while also fostering a new generation of researchers.

My professional work has focused on animal, plant, and fire ecology. Before joining Woodwell, I was a wildlife technician throughout North America—in Wisconsin, Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. I primarily worked on capture projects, including Kodiak brown bears, mountain lions, elk, black bears, and fishers. I also spent a great deal of time studying Eastern box turtles, butterflies and moths, bobcats, mule deer, and their habitats. I will use my knowledge of Arctic plant species to support EVOME field assessments and my extensive fieldwork background will support my role as safety officer for EVOME’s 2026 field expeditions.

In my free time I love to look for critters, travel, and spend time outdoors.
