Roger Kranenburg is Managing Director at Ernst & Young where he is responsible for bringing EY’s business transformation experience, including AI readiness, from financial services, life sciences, and industrials to the power sector.

He was previously Vice President, Strategy and Policy at Eversource Energy where he was responsible for long-term clean energy and growth strategy and policies along with the transportation electrification and battery storage initiatives.

Earlier, Kranenburg was with S&P Global advising the top electric utilities and power sector owners/operators and suppliers globally on sector transformation, investment, and operations. At the Edison Electric Institute, he led strategy for the electric industry in the areas of supply and taxation. Kranenburg was instrumental in the passage of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the making permanent of the Bush-era tax cuts on dividends. He had also led development in wireless telecommunications and at Siemens and done research and published in the areas of high-temperature superconductors, high-performance electric drive systems, and high frequency telecommunications.

A CFA charterholder, Kranenburg holds a B.S. and M.S. (plus Ph.D. course requirements) in electrical engineering/applied physics and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston. He also has completed the Leadership for Senior Executives and Preparing to Be a Corporate Director programs at the Harvard Business School.
