I work with Permafrost Pathways to help the project understand how the impacts of climate change, including sea level rise and land subsidence, are affecting coastal communities in Alaska.
I was previously a Permafrost Pathways Community Liaison for Kipnuk, Alaska, where I am from. Before that, I worked with the State of Alaska for six years. When I learned about the effects of climate change, especially on coastal communities, I wanted to contribute to solutions. I bring my skills in construction, maintenance, and heavy equipment operation to the project, supporting the team through my work.
After Typhoon Halong destroyed my hometown in October 2025, I realized that our lives are so important. You only live once—go out and experience, explore nature, and live life to the fullest.
