I study carbon and methane fluxes in permafrost ecosystems. My research uses land surface models, field measurements, and experimental warming studies to quantify how these fluxes impact the carbon balance across the Arctic-Boreal region, now and in the future.
I earned my B.S. in Environmental Geography from Michigan State University and my Ph.D. in Ecological and Environmental Informatics from Northern Arizona University. My Ph.D. research was focused on new approaches for benchmarking land surface models in the Arctic-Boreal region.
In my free time, I enjoy running and spending time outdoors.
