I am building an AI agent to automate the calibration of Woodwell’s Arctic terrestrial ecosystem model (DVM-DOS-TEM) and improve model accuracy. Automating this process will help to forecast permafrost thaw and inform policy decisions.
I am deeply passionate about the intersection of science and technology. My background is in applied AI, scientific computing, and software engineering. Previously, I designed biologically-inspired algorithms to evolve populations of Lenia artificial life at Amherst College, and developed AI models for computational social science research at the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s College of Information and Computer Sciences.
I hope to pursue a career in technology and AI safety, specifically within private sector research and engineering. In my free time, I love to snowboard and spend time in nature.
