Beth Brazil

Beth Brazil manages the Foundation Relations team, building relationships with foundations and other institutional donors. In her role, she helps with the planning, organization and execution of a comprehensive program to expand private gifts and grant support from these donors. She also oversees corporate support, and works with scientific and finance staff to streamline the grants process.

Brazil is proud to have helped to facilitate Permafrost Pathways’ award through the TED Audacious Project. She has more than 20 years of development experience, serving as the Senior Manager of Foundation and Corporate Giving at Manomet, Inc. before joining Woodwell Climate. She also spent 10 years in environmental consulting focusing on compliance audits. Brazil holds a B.S. in Human Ecology from Rutgers University and a M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus in nonprofit management and environmental education, from Lesley University. She enjoys the outdoors and spends any spare time hiking, biking or snowshoeing.
